3. Material & Structural Specifications

  • Steel Construction: Corrugated Corten A-grade weathering steel shell, structurally modified and reinforced around all cutouts for doors, windows, and ramp fixtures.

  • Frame & Corner Castings: ISO 1161 heavy-duty corner castings for standard twist-lock handling, crane lifting, and multi-modal transport.

  • Flooring: Heavy-duty marine-grade plywood overlaid with commercial-grade, slip-resistant vinyl sheet flooring (coved edges optional for easy washdown).

  • Insulation & Interior Lining: 50mm high-density thermal insulation (rockwool or polyurethane) behind clean, wipeable white-melamine or PVC wall and ceiling panels for optimal internal climate control.

4. Access, Security & Fold-Up Ramps

  • Primary Access: Heavy-duty steel personnel access (PA) door with weather seals, deadlock, and heavy-duty hardware.

  • Fold-Up Ramp System:

    • Heavy-duty, checker-plate steel or aluminum fold-up ramp mounted directly outside the personnel door.

    • Designed to fold flush up against the container wall and lock securely over the doorway to act as an anti-vandal security shutter when the unit is unoccupied or in transit.

    • Counterbalanced or gas-strut assisted for easy single-person deployment.

  • Windows: Secure, double-glazed sliding uPVC or aluminum windows fitted with external security mesh grills or steel security shutters.

5. Electrical & Comfort Infrastructure

  • Power Distribution: Internal electrical distribution board (DB) with RCD safety switches, main breaker, and an external industrial flush-mounted site inlet plug (e.g., 32A CEE form).

  • Lighting: Recessed or surface-mounted ceiling LED batten lights providing bright, even illumination.
